Emily Bell McCormick

President and founder of The Policy Project, a 501c3 non-profit organization that works to solve society’s biggest problems and strengthen communities by implementing healthy policy. The organization has successfully enacted The Period Project, an effort to put free period products into every K-12 girls and all-gender school bathrooms in the state of Utah. Utah became the first state to implement and fund this a program at this scale. In its first year, 337,000 students were impacted. That number is projected to be 1.4 million unique individuals by 2065.

Other successfully funded statewide initiatives that were unanimously supported by the Utah Legislature include The Teen Center Project, The Safe Child Project. The current initiative is The Focused Student Project.
