Family-Forward Employer Update

  • Neighborhood House 1050 West 500 South Salt Lake City, Utah, 84104 United States (map)

Investing in the Utah Workforce

Utah employers are leaving a significant workforce investment on the table. A new state tax credit stacked with an enhanced federal credit allows Utah businesses to recover up to 88% of what they spend on employee child care benefits. Most employers have never heard of it.

The Family-Forward Employer Update brings together Utah business owners, HR professionals, and community leaders to learn about this opportunity, hear directly from employers and child care providers who are putting it to work, and connect with others building family-forward workplaces across the state.

What To Expect:

Welcome Remarks: Jennifer Nuttall, Executive Director of Neighborhood House

Background of Employer Child Care Tax Credit: Representative Jason Thompson, sponsor of Utah's employer child care tax credit legislation

Plain-language Overview: How the tax credit works and how your business can participate

Panel Discussion: Featuring employers, tax professionals, and child care experts sharing real-world experience and answering your questions

Networking & Tour: Time to connect with peers and resources and tour the Neighborhood House facility
