Marin Christensen
Policy Development Manager
Marin Christensen is the Policy Development Manager at the Policy Project. Marin has a Ph.D. in Human Development and Social Policy at the University of Utah where she studied systemic barriers to family supportive policy. Marin has ten years experience of policy and community research and advocacy, beginning with the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute. As a community researcher at Gardner, Marin gained an intimate perspective of the issues facing Utahns and how these issues are being, or could be, addressed. As the Associate Director of the Utah Women & Leadership Project, she oversaw research, resources, and strategy to improve the lives of Utah women and girls. Marin also co-founded the Utah Child Care Cooperative, which focused on innovative employer and state policy to help working families thrive economically. Most recently, Marin founded her own consultancy that partnered with local and national organizations on projects that align with her passion and expertise supporting underserved populations.
Marin is on the executive board of Comunidades Unidas, and has served on the Women in the Economy commission.
